THE 100 YEARS SHOW

CARMEN HERRERA

I was asked by director Alison Klayman (Take Your Pills, Ai Wei Wei: Never Sorry) to create a title sequence for her documentary "Carmen Herrera: The 100 Years Show". The Sequence was inspired heavily by  Carmen's art and more importantly her process of creating it. Her paintings often start off with simple sketches and drawings and develop into a process of meticulous masking and painting on large canvasses. It was a really fun project to be a part of and turned out to be a really great film. It opened at HotDocs in Toronto and was screened at many film festivals internationally before finding its way to Netflix, where you can see it now:

ARCHIVAL SECTIONS

I also Designed all the archival sections of the film which consisted of photos, film, news articles and paintings. I was given access to a lot of archival content and was tasked with brining it all to life for the film.
